In New York, the Board of Elections must receive applications to register to vote no later than October 26. That includes applications by mail or in-person registration.
There are several ways to vote in New York State, including in-person and early voting.
Early voting begins in New York on Saturday, October 26.
Applications requesting to receive an early mail ballot must be received by the Board of Elections in your county no later than 10 days before the election.
There are several ways that voters can return their early mail ballot for the general election.
You can bring it to your County Board of Elections Office no later than November 5 by 9 p.m.
Voters can also bring it to an early voting poll site in your county between October 26 and November 3 or bring it to a poll site in your county on November 5 by 9 p.m.
Those voting by absentee ballot or military and overseas voting must adhere to specific deadlines per election.
